BioBlitz Terceira 2026

We are taking part in the 2026 European Marine Citizen Science Week!
Join us at the natural pools of Porto Martins on September 20 at 09:30 to help document coastal life. Explore, identify and record the region’s species. Photograph plants, algae, fish and other animals, and upload your photos to the MINKA app. Help us keep the environment clean by joining our coastal cleanup.

Everyone is welcome! No prior knowledge is required.

The event is designed and coordinated by the BioEcoOcean project, funded by the EU, together with the AIR Centre, Marine Biodiversity Observation Network MBON, Universidade dos Açores, the BioMust4All project, the Federação das Pescas dos Açores, Marine Waste on Terceira Island, and Gê-questa - Associação De Defesa Do Ambiente.
