Agrodigital
Digital support for vineyard phytosanitary protection in the Azores — sensor networks and real-time environmental monitoring that warn growers of disease risk before it spreads.
Azorean viticulture faces labour shortages, high operating costs and the need to cut phytopharmaceutical use. Agrodigital monitors conditions in the vineyards of Terceira and Santa Maria and turns them into disease-risk alerts — downy mildew and powdery mildew — delivered through an interactive dashboard for technicians and winegrowers.
How it works
• SOFIS stations — modular, low-cost sensors measuring radiation, temperature, humidity, pressure, wind and precipitation, solar-powered
• LoRaWAN network — long-range, low-energy public network deployed with the municipalities of Angra do HeroÃsmo and Vila do Porto
• Risk algorithms — models validated in the field, translating readings into actionable alerts
• Dashboard — data visualisation and alerts in one interface
