Atlantic Cloud

A transatlantic computing network built and operated by AIR Centre associates โ€” shared storage, high-performance computing and web infrastructure for science across the Atlantic.

Each node contributes resources to a common pool, so associates keep control of their own infrastructure while sharing capacity and data with the network. Access is arranged through the AIR Centre.

What it offers
โ€ข Infrastructure and software as a service (IaaS, SaaS)
โ€ข High-performance computing, including ocean modelling on the Escola de Sagres supercomputer
โ€ข Earth Observation data storage and access
โ€ข API access to data and compute

Nodes
โ€ข IPRJ-UERJ, Rio de Janeiro
โ€ข LAMCE / COPPE / UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro
โ€ข AIR Data Centre, Azores
