AIR Centre and FAPESP sign agreement to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation

The AIR Centre and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) have signed a Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement to enhance research collaboration between Portugal and the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

This agreement establishes a framework for cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit, aimed at fostering new and stronger connections between research institutions in both regions. It encourages joint initiatives in scientific research and technological development across priority areas of shared interest.

Through this partnership, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to deepening existing ties between their scientific and technological communities while promoting innovative, collaborative projects. The agreement seeks to address common global challenges and capitalize on the complementary expertise of both parties.

FAPESP, one of Brazil’s leading research funding agencies, supports cutting-edge research across all fields of knowledge in the state of São Paulo. The partnership aligns with the AIR Centre’s mission to promote international cooperation in ocean, climate, and space research, particularly within the Atlantic basin.
