AIR Centre and INESC P&D Brasil extend partnership to 2030

The AIR Centre and INESC P&D Brasil (Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Research and Development of Brazil) have extended their collaborative agreement for five additional years, through July 2, 2030.

The extension, based on mutual consent under the original 2020 agreement, reinforces the strategic partnership between the two institutions and strengthens research collaboration across the Atlantic.

INESC P&D Brasil is a leading Brazilian research institution focused on systems engineering, computer science, and technological innovation.

This renewed commitment supports the AIR Centre's mission to advance international scientific cooperation and innovation, fostering sustainable development in the Atlantic region.

Small pelagic stock assessment in Angola: strengthening the science behind sustainable catches

From October 19 to 23, 2026, a team from the AIR Centre returned to Luanda for a working meeting with colleagues from Angola’s National Institute of Fisheries and Marine Research (INIPM), the University of the Azores and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). This is the second year of a partnership that supports the scientific assessment of Angola’s small pelagic fish stocks.
