AIR Centre’s role at the ‘AtlanticArray’ meeting

On March 13, 2025, AIR Centre was represented in the ‘AtlanticArray’ meeting, which took place in the Department of Earth Sciences – University College of London. The goal of this meeting was to finalise a white paper on an AtlanticArray concept that has now been under discussion for 1.5 years at EGU 2023, IUGG 2023, EGU 2024 and Orfeus meetings. The ‘AtlanticArray’ project is in the planning stage, and the role of AIR Centre was recognised as a significant actor in the coordination with the different institutions operating in the Atlantic.

Meeting with the Hon Consul‑General of the Kingdom of Tonga strengthens dialogue on ocean science and climate cooperation

The discussion brought together AIR Centre Executive Director Miguel Miranda, Deputy Executive Director Mafalda Carapuço, and researcher Ana Faria, marking the beginning of a promising dialogue between the two nations.
