Dr. Landeros Ayala brings exceptional expertise in telecommunications, space technology, and engineering education to the AIR Centre's leadership. With over 40 years as a university professor, he has held significant management positions in academia and the telecommunications and space industry.
During his visit, Dr. Landeros Ayala discussed opportunities for collaboration between the AIR Centre and UNAM, highlighting shared research interests in ocean observation, climate change, and Sargassum monitoring. "We have very good opportunities to collaborate, to share knowledge, to have joint projects at UNAM," he noted. "There are very good researchers working on AIR Centre areas. So we can share experiences in those areas and put together all the efforts to contribute not only between the two countries, but also regionally."
The visit marks an important step in strengthening partnerships between the AIR Centre and leading academic institutions across the Atlantic, advancing the Centre's mission in Earth Observation, space science, and ocean research.
